All of our locations provide customers with a free high-quality “barrel” or “disc” locks for each unit you rent. These locks are very high quality locks that are more secure than virtually any lock you’ve used before – industry professionals such as Small Town Storage use them for their own purposes.
What do I need to bring with me when I come in to rent a locker?
Your first month’s rent is all you need to get started and of course you stuff!
Is there anything I am not permitted to do with or store in my locker?
The locker can only be used to store personal property – customers cannot operate a business out of a locker, and no person or animal can live in the locker. In addition, it is unlawful to store hazardous material, any kind or waste, perishable materials, ammunition, etc. This is a representative list of prohibitions – please refer to the Rental Agreement for greater detail.
Does Small Town Storage insure the belongings in my locker?
No – you are responsible for insuring your belongings, which is commonly included in homeowner’s or renter’s insurance. If you have neither or desire additional insurance, Small Town Storage can arrange for you to purchase insurance for your belongings from a third party provider.
Is there a minimum amount of time I can rent a locker?
All agreements are month-to-month and can be canceled at any time with 10 days notice. We do not prorate your rent if you move out in the middle of the month, and if you prepay for 10 months you receive the next 2 months free!
Does anyone else have access to my locker?
You may designate someone else to have access to your locker if you wish, but otherwise nobody but you can enter your locker unless there is a fire or other such emergency.
How quick can I get a locker?
We make it very easy and fast to get rent a locker. You can find a unit without a lock, fill out the paperwork on clipboard, drop payment in drop box and move in. The unit sizes are above the latch on each door. You can also can me anytime on my cell phone at 573-338-7867 and I can tell you a unit # of the size you want.
